Gülsüm Kayabaşı Koru graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering at Eskişehir Osmangazi University. She completed her master’s degree in Computer Engineering and her Ph.D. in the Department of Digital Forensics at Gazi University. Her master’s thesis focused on the classification of mobile applications using static analysis methods, while her doctoral research investigated the detection of Turkish fake news using deep learning techniques. She has worked in various public sector roles, including computer engineering, smart card operating systems and applications, cryptographic systems, database administration, and project management. She has carried out projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science, natural language processing, large language models, machine learning, deep learning, information security, and cryptology, and has several academic publications in these areas. She has taught courses on programming languages, algorithms, information security, cryptology, and database management systems. Since 2018, she has also been serving as a digital forensics expert affiliated with the Ankara region.
