Dr. Ramin Abbaszadi completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Tabriz, Iran, in 1998. He obtained his master’s degree in Information Systems through a joint program between the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and Tehran Faculty of Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Hacettepe University in 2022. His doctoral dissertation focused on an end-to-end convolutional neural network framework for low-resolution feature recognition. After beginning his professional career, Dr. Ramin Abbaszadi has worked on numerous national and international projects as a software engineer and project manager. Many of the projects he developed and managed are currently in active use across various parts of the world. Some of his major projects include: Istanbul Third Bridge Video Analysis Project (stopped vehicle detection, wrong-way vehicle detection, person detection, vehicle accident detection, and similar analyses) Tunnel Artificial Intelligence Video Analysis Project Electronic Microscope Image Processing and Analysis Project (actively used worldwide) Safe City Project (vehicle license plate detection and recognition, vehicle brand, model, and color recognition, speed detection, intersection control, traffic light penalty management, and related analyses — currently active in many countries, including Turkey) Facial Recognition Project (currently in active use at Istanbul Zorlu Shopping Center) KGYS Project (City Security Management System) In addition to these, he has contributed to many other projects in various fields.
